Radio Free Tanelorn: Music to Read Moorcock By

Tomorrow, December 18th, is Michael Moorcock’s birthday. I’m spending my winter break re-reading a bunch of his novels, and put together a Pandora station with appropriate background music to read by. Radio Free Tanelorn was seeded with music directly connected to Moorcock, including Hawkwind, The Deep Fix,  Robert Calvert, Blue Öyster Cult, and Pink Faires.  As usual, Pandora does well with more popular genres, but not some much with obscure ones; it doesn’t understand the concept of “space rock”, and struggles with psychedelia and progressive rock as well. Even after some prolonged editing via the thumbs down button it still occasionally throws some weird tracks in there, but it’s pretty much solid, head-trippy 70s post-hippie, pre-metal guitar rock.

NOTE: I’m informed that folks outside the United States aren’t able to access Pandora. Sorry!

About Berin Kinsman

Hello, I’m Berin. I am a freelance writer, putting down words on things as varied as short stories, screenplays, recipes, productivity advice, and tabletop games. Those are all things that I love, and I enjoy working with and promoting fellow bloggers, writers, editors, and publishers who share those interests. My other passion is working with groups that assist the poor and the homeless. This is my way of trying to be the change I’d like to see in the world, as well as paying it forward in honor of everyone who has ever helped me in large or small ways. I currently live in Albuquerque, New Mexico with my wife, the incredibly talented artist, crafter and educator Katie Kinsman, and our small army of cats.
