Alleys of Zobeck

This 17-page PDF contains an adventure designed to get established player characters into the Free City of Zobeck, and eventually into the adventures detailed in Streets of Zobeck. It also has a wealth of city personalities, new locations, new Feats, new Traits, new gear, a new monster (the Clockwork Abomination), and a new animal companion (the Dire Weasel, included because that animal is the mount of — brace yourself — Goldscale the kobold paladin).

If you’re not sure you want to pay full price for Streets of Zobeck, this is an inexpensive way to check it out. This PDF is only $2.99 and gives you the flavor of what Streets is like. If you’re already using Streets, this has additional information that’s useful. Either way, it’s worth checking out if you like grim, gritty city-based campaigns.

Did I mention Goldscale the kobold paladin, with his Dire Weasel mount? In my Skullport Tales campaign, which I am liberally populating with people, places, and plots from Zobeck as well as Freeport, Lankhmar, Vornheim, and other city locations,  I have decided that Goldscale is going to be my “cavalry to the rescue” character. When they get in over their heads and need a rescue, they get bailed out by a kobold paladin on a dire weasel.

About Berin Kinsman

Hello, I’m Berin. I am a freelance writer, putting down words on things as varied as short stories, screenplays, recipes, productivity advice, and tabletop games. Those are all things that I love, and I enjoy working with and promoting fellow bloggers, writers, editors, and publishers who share those interests. My other passion is working with groups that assist the poor and the homeless. This is my way of trying to be the change I’d like to see in the world, as well as paying it forward in honor of everyone who has ever helped me in large or small ways. I currently live in Albuquerque, New Mexico with my wife, the incredibly talented artist, crafter and educator Katie Kinsman, and our small army of cats.
